That looks awesome Sean!
yeah... might be in love. o)

actually (and just based on ONE bowl, mind), i think i like this better than penzance. full body, creamy dense smoke and a little iodine-y peat from the latakia, but sweet hints underneath, actually wanted to burn on a fold and stuff out of the tin, and a cool burn all the way down (no MacB flamethrower effect). yeah, imma take a closer look at HH LAT flake again real soon...

Escudo navy de luxe...I like it. It's weird I find myself wanting to smoke a pipe more than a cigar now.
it's probably the new and shiny effect: once the romance wears off, you will probably find a balance between the two. OR you could be a piper at heart, IDK.

also, first pass on the key largo today, in my fatty mr. brog pear wood. verdict when i get a couple more down...

Just picked up Sutliff Private Stock Maple Street - Smells awesome out of the tin - a rich liquor and maple. I let it dry out before smoking and it smoke even with a nice smoke. Room effect unknown since my sense of smell sucks.

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...

I'll call that a successful first run!
Took my new Solomon Pipes stubby apple nose-warmer for a spin with a bowl full of Seattle Pipe Club's Mississippi River. As I was given this pipe by Mike @tobaccopipecollectors I asked him to choose it's inaugural baccy, and he picked one of my current favorites! Never disappoints, and this time was no different. I'm definitely excited to have this addition to my stable of pipes.
Sweet smoke!

That is a sweet looking pipe and I think I would have picked the same inaugural baccy myself. I'm a bit jealous. Enjoy it man!
