Thinking of selling my nice humidor, and switching to a wineador. Anyone have an idea of how much they cost already made and ready to go? Any suggestions on where to buy one?

Get a scratch and dent from airandwater.com and drawers from john nelson.

The scratch and dent ones typically have something on the back that is imperfect, (and unseen) but the savings is gigantic.

Get one on craigslist, I got one of my Vinotemps for $50.

Go with John for your drawers, or childresswoodworks.com who also does great work.

I would take this advice ^^ for sure. Craigslist is swamped with wine fridges of all brands and sizes. A fair amount of them are hardly used too...

Just the standard cleaning depending on where you get it from. Craigslist, I would do a complete scrub down. Scratch and Dent or new, just a quick wipe down and check for plastic smell.

I bought a scratch and dent from www.openboxdirect.com and then I ordered a set of shelves and drawers form Forest. The total cost was close to 500 with all the customization. I also installed a custom lighting kit in my wineador and printed my own decal to apply to the front. While it might be a bit pricy, It has an amazing seal, and a large amount of storage. I currently have close to 600 cigars inside and there is still some room to spare. It's a 28 bottle wine cooler.

Here is the finished product

This is the step by step of how I did the custom lighting job.

^very nice.. LED lights are the last piece i want to add. how'd you set that up?

Once I get a fridge all I have to do is add drawers, correct? Is there prep work that needs to be done?
i got an 18 bottle scratch and dent from A&W and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it that i could find. they pop up every so often, and the "extra" 10-15% off is nice. i got the 18 b/c i really needed to keep it small and wasn't planning on keeping many boxes (i'll use a cooler for that eventually)

to set mine up, i added newspaper and baking soda in there to soak up any plastic smell. i ordered trays from forrest @ wineadors but haven't arrived yet (should be next week). to prep trays it's a matter of wiping down with distilled water.

i also use kitty litter, keeping it nice at 65%, and use a laptop fan, usb extension, and a digital timer to circulate the air

all in all, probably about a $350 set up.

78º is a bit too high for normal storage. I took that picture on the first warm day we had and my AC was still cooling down my house. I also didn't set the cooler to on that day. Normally its about a steady 70º in there. In the winter it's usually usually about 4º cooler than that because of my Nest thermostat trying to save me money ;)
