The Upmann 2 fits my flavor profile to a T. I am enjoying them more than the Monty 2's, PSD4's, HDM Epicure Especials, JL2's, all of which are in my regular rotation. The only short smoke is my humi is the Bolivar Petite Corona. While I like the flavors of the BPC, they are very young (2014), and I want to let them rest for a couple of years. I am looking at the Party Shorts, Upmann half corona, and RASCC.
I have 3 boxes of RASS, and I love the taste of them, but I was wanting to branch out a little because I heard the RASCC taste very similar to the RASS. So, between the Upmann half corona and the Party Shorts, which would you all recommend? And which one of these tastes better rott?
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Mike

I prefer the HUHC, but the party shorts are good too and have a little more "kick" to them. my suggestion would be to split a box of each with someone else so you can try both

I would second this entirely. The only reason I ended up with more HUs than RAs is because I found the vitola fit my time limits better while I was still in school. Both EXCELLENT smokes though. Would gladly keep a few boxes of each on hand.

Okay, help me understand, I just bought a fiver of PSDN4's based on the one I smoked (thanks @dharbolt) and now I think I am getting a little buyers remorse before they even show up. My budget isn't huge, and I'm curious if my next purchase should be something else? Are the PSDN4's something that should be rested for some time or are they great ROTT? What would you guys recommend for ROTT? Final question, what is a party short?

The psd4 you had was from late 13. I think they are pretty good fresh but time always helps. Partagas shorts = party short. It's a corona sized smoke. You won't be sorry about your pad4s I'm sure

Don't ever feel buyers remorse about buying PSD4. Those are one of the most loved sticks around. They get rave reviews and a favorite of mine!

Party Short = Partagas Short

As far as cigars that smoke great when young... Here is my 2c:

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2
Juan Lopez No. 2 (from what I've heard)
Trinidad Reyes (though better with a little age IMO) (I think I sent you one?)
H Upmann Royal Robusto (I think I sent you one of these too?)
Ramon Allones Specially Selected (RASS) (from what I've heard)

Ultimately, many Habanos are great ROTT. The only ones that I've found that are much better with age are Cohibas. The best thing to do is to buy a sampler and see what smokes great for YOU. If you really want aged stock, then buy it. Many sources offer it. Also, I'm sure some brothers would be willing to help you out.

There's a million answers to your question. This is only mine.

Both answers have calmed my nerves. I'm not so much having buyers remorse as I'm concerned that I didn't get the best of the best of the best (SIR!!!) so, thank you for quick responses...

Side note, yes, you did send those two.

Also, it usually isn't a problem selling or trading most CCs at your cost if they turn out to not be your thing

I think they will be my cup of tea, it's the next purchase that I'm truly worried about. I have smoked a PSDN4 and loved it, but when I purchase my next, will I enjoy those as much. I haven't looked into singles yet, so that might be my next purchase, a bunch of singles.

I've gone through 3 boxes of young HUHC in less than a year. A box of early '12 Party Shorts are coming along slowly, but still pale in comparison to the HUHC's. The HUHC's are ready to smoke right off the truck, no question. Every one has had a perfect draw. Mildish, but surprisingly complex for the small format. They aren't perfectly consistent, but that hasn't been a bad thing. The 'worst' ones are very, very good. But 4 or 5 out of each box are incredible! So, any inconsistency works in my favor.
The Party Shorts are enjoyable, but they sort of substitute a little kick for flavor. They've also run a little on the 'tight' side. Not quite a chore to smoke, but not the pleasant, easy draw of the HUHC.
