I just don't understand why people don't realize that the same cigar can taste different from month to month. Does anyone think the same tobacco is an endless supply? Not a chance. The blends stay the same but there are different tobacco harvests and even suppliers of the same type of tobacco. That means the same brand of cigar can taste different from box to box depending on the inventory they are using while making that cigar.

If DE has been bought by swisher, and their bands are changing fonts, do you think they'll be sold around my place? I have yet to find a DE stick in a local B&M here...
otherwise, I must say I find the new font less ... handwritten. Not sure its a good thing or not. It looked like hand-labelled prototype cigar bands which made them somewhat special. Now they look like amateurly printed prototype cigar bands.

Don't think anyone said the cigars take 3 weeks to produce. These cigars could be seconds, bad batch, etc that were sitting around. I think the joke all came from the fact that the new font is soooo shitty that it had to be a swisher influence. All in al none of us know what is really going on at DE anymore.
Yeah peace sells and wake up dead.
As for the UF 13. When I saw the band it, more symbolically than anything, showed the direction of the company. Little less personal, less off kilter, less fun. I hope that doesnt end up being the case tho. I like what Jd has done in an industry that can at times be viewed as anything but cool

Lol. Sorry for this but I thought I'd share. This was the original font design for this cigar. After it was printed, Saka said no way and pushed for the script font we've been used to for a few years. They ran out of those bands and are back to the 'original'. I heard this from a guy that knows another guy that is a cousin of a guy that sat beside Saka on a plane once.
