Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...
She's been getting in to photography more and more the past years and also wants to start sewing things for the twins.
Right now that puts me at a new portrait lens and her first sewing machine. I know there are some photogs here for info I can tap, but anyone have some history in sewing?

I'm married to someone who has a history in sewing, does that count?

We're surprising our daughters with a trip to Disney World for April vacation so there's not going to be a lot of presents under the tree this year. My wife recently bought a beautiful Pinarello road bike and said she didn't want anything for the next 3 Christmas's, but we all know that's a trap! There's a local artist who makes incredible jewelry, there'll probably be a pair of earring in her stocking.

I'm thinkig about getting the GF an Apple tv thingy. Not quite sure how it works but I know she wants one. That'll probably be about it based on my budget but maybe a nice scarf or a movie she's been wanting as a stocking stuffer.
The Apple TV is pretty slick if you don't have a smart TV. It basically makes your old HDTV a smart TV with various apps like Netflix Hulu etc. and if you have a lot of apple products you can send what you're seeing on your iPad or iPhone to the Apple TV for display on the tv. Cheaper than buying a new smart tv.

My mom is huge into sewing and quilting. At first I was like "this is awesome, another great quilt". Now it's more like "great another quilt, where the hell are we going to put this thing".

But she makes a lot of cool things for the kids, like dresses, handbags and she made my 2 year old an Elsa(?) dress for Halloween. So sewing has a lot of upside.

Haven't done any shopping as we just took a trip to Key West for our 2nd year Anny. but I do have a few items on my list. Some Harry Potter stuff (she's a huge fan), new espresso cups and maybe restoring a sweet vintage girls bike.

All I'm good at sewing is hate and discontent. Free lessons for the asking, though!

This is our first Christmas married, and probably our last one spending balls to the wall. She is buying me shelves and drawers for the wineador, I'm getting her a Barbour jacket for her birthday (the 17th), and going in on a new phone with her mom for Christmas... December birthdays...

At least I'll have grace for my next box purchase...

The fiance and I are pretty much skipping Christmas this year. Well, we put a $100 limit on each other. We're getting married next June and just bought our plane tickets for our honeymoon and we're trying to save for various things (house). We told both of our families to get us stuff off of our registry as well.
