I do see the possible urgency to get a unit that also regulates temperature; but I would assume that he keeps his house at a comfortable temp, which would mean the relative temp inside any humi would be fine as well. Maybe I am wrong, but just seems like an awful lot 'o cash!

In comparing the two, you really get what you pay for. Superior craftsmanship, better quality wood, a colled unit, better RH control, built to your specs. It's really like comparing apples and oranges
Also, he lives in AZ and keeps his house cool but I do not believe he keeps it under 70.

Yes, you have put a lot of thought into this baby, and that's what counts. I do think you have chosen the perfect stogie-minder for several good reasons!
And you are right...The construction on the two I have aren't great, but I was able to fix that with the weather stripping, so performance is not an issue. And since they are in my 'office' in my house, I don't mind that they aren't really matching the nicer furniture in the rest of my home
I'd love to read a review when you get that baby up to speed!

It truly is an awful lot 'o cash, and I can't see myself spending that much personally...but if he's willing and able to do so, I say more power to him!

And btw I live in Texas, and we get thirty or so 100+ degree days in the summer. It is impossible to keep the house anywhere near 70 degrees. Well, not without having a $1000-per-month electric bill.
I'd rather try to keep a small box cool rather than my entire house.

I can speak for my Aristocrat M+ though. I have never been happier. Its a work of art. Mine isnt cooled as I realy do not need that option.
Not saying one is better than the other but check them out before making a big purchase.

I have an Avallo 1200.....all I can say Randy is I have not had one single problem with it and I am totally happy with it. I think the size is more than adequate.

Compare the inside dimensions of the wine cooler to the new cabinet. If they are similar, I would go to the next size. Now if you plan to continue using the wine cooler, you can get away with the combination of the two.

I have a BC112G from Haier and as best I can tell you want the one you are looking at. The 1200 just wouldn't be much, if any, bigger.
Dimensions of the 30 bottle I have:
Overall Width 19.94 in.
Overall Depth 21.69 in.
Overall Height 38.63 in.
Dimensions of the 1200:
Measures 22" wide x 25" deep x 28.75" tall
Dimensions for the cooled 2000:
Measures: 22" wide x 25" deep x 48" tall
Overall, if you have the same or similiar cooler, the 1200 isn't going to be a step up.
