Without exaggerating, there are probably 100 hotels within a 10 mile radius..

The cabin is just outside of Gatlinburg, TN. G'burg is probably the single biggest tourist destination in the state.. there are tons of options ranging from $75-$300 a night.. just depends on what you are looking for.. everything from big brand, full service hotels.. to locally owned/operated boutique type places.. to fleabag, run down cheapies.. (personally, if all anyone is looking to do is sleep there.. I'd probably just grab a room at something clean/decent with no ammenities or "extras".. and keep the cost as low as possible..

The cabin is located at: 653 Hidden Valley Rd. Gatlinburg, TN 37738 .... Mapquest a couple of hotels in G'burg.. find something close in the right price range.. and come on down!

I'll be bringing a 6 cup french press... Im going to guess that the SC boys will probably bring that cowboy coffee maker thingy that they brought last year... I know javajunkie is never far from coffee making capability.. and I believe the cabin has a standard drip pot..

We'll have plenty of coffee to go around....

but... more coffee gear is always appreciated/welcomed

Mdwest is not joking about the hotels. Gburg is just outside The Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The most visited National Park in the United States!

If it's near gatlinburg I suggest especially for the pipers a run to the gatlinbuiler on the strip. Great place with a ton of good house blends

All bunks are now spoken for.. if you intend on doing the overnight thing and havent sent in poopal yet.. please do not.. there is no more room at the inn...

that said.. you are still VERY MUCH welcome to come HERF, and stay on the property if you would like.. you'll just be looking at an air mattress.. or one of the couches.. or a sleeping bag.. etc..

so the next step is we need to get a reasonable idea on what the whole crowd is going to look like so we can make sure there is enough food/drink/smoke to go around..

So.. disregard previous lists from the first page.. and if you intend on attending.. please copy and paste the list below, adding your name, and intention to either be there for the entire weekend (need some floor space/couch) or to only be there on Friday... (guys that paid for/reserved bunks are already on the list..).. Ive also tried to add in others that have indicated either in chat, PM, or in this thread that they are committed.. but may have missed a few of you.. if I missed you.. just add your name in.. if you are on the list, but determine that you are not coming at any time.. no problem.. just remove your name.. If I've got you down for the wrong amount of time.. no problem.. just change/fix it... all Im trying to figure out at this point is how much food/soft drink/napkins/plates/lawn chairs/etc.. we're gonna need to make sure we're all covered.. a rough estimate works..

I won't add my name to the list just yet as my wife has been pretty sick lately and I've been married long enough where I know it's not smart to be talking to her about a man-trip. lol But I am 95% in all weekend and will use an air mattress. Obviously don't plan around me worst case scenario, but just letting you know I intend to come. I should be able to firm things up within the week.
