Hello BOTLs,

My name is Layne, and although I signed up a while ago, I didn't really contribute much aside from a brief introduction (which, if I recall, I posted in the wrong forum...so, I didn't start off on a good foot then.) I lurked off and on, but aside from that, I didn't spend much time here. It seems a lot of BOTLs that I know from elsewhere are here, so I figured I'd try again, with better intentions of making more contributions this time.

I'm from California, between the East Bay and the Central Valley. I got into cigars about a year and a half ago when my now-fiancée dragged me to Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I spied a 25 ct. humidor, and convinced her to "let" me buy it. I know have three desktops and a wineador, totaling roughly 550 cigars.

The first cigar I fell in love with is the AF Short Story. I fancy myself as a bit of a writer, so a cigar named after one of my favorite authors, and one of my favorite story formats was a no-brainer. I still love the heck out of that stick. In fact, I find it hard to find fault in nearly any of Fuente's sticks. I am also a huge fan of Illusione. My favorite budget sticks are 5 Vegas Series A and Sosa Vintage. On the upper end, I like to treat myself with Opus Xs and Padrons. Tatuajes, LFDs, Drew Estate, My Father and Cain also seem to have precedence in my stash. However, I am really getting into boutique blends and house rolls I can't get anywhere but at various B&Ms; I find it cool to smoke something not everyone can get, and most of the time they are actually quite good.

On a personal note, I am a sales rep for a roofing manufacturer, am engaged with a wedding set for this August, have two dogs and a snake, and like to write, read, watch movies and TV, and drink whisk(e)y.

I look forward to catching up with those I know, and meeting new acquaintances. Thanks for having me (...if you will).

Wow. Those are some quick welcomes! Hey guys.
Good thing I took the day off today, I feel I'm going to be spending most of it here browsing through lots of interesting threads.

Welcome. It would be a very good idea to stock up now before the wedding unless your wife supports your indulgences. Some do. Some don't. A good one will.

I wouldn't say she "supports" it, but she tolerates it. She knows it makes me happy, and she likes me to be happy. Good thing is I'm actually out of room, so I'm stocked for the next couple years...or until I buy another humi. (Who am I kidding. I'm probably going to buy more this month.)

Heh brother, now we share 3 different homes. Welcome again..haha..

I must say though every time I see your avi. I have to stop and see if it's you or Señor Perfecto.
Hello (again). Señor Perfecto has seniority on me I think. I didn't even know of him when I picked it, but now I use it everywhere. C'est la vie. I hope he doesn't mind.
