Uh. Canadians don't call French Fries chips. Just wanna make that clear. Unless it's Fish and Chips which was adopted by the Brits.

Oh and because Adam is coming, there will be Diet Root Beer too.

Im not sure you qualify as a Canadian anymore Doug..

youre more like a 'Merican that happens to have been born somewhere else at this point arent you? :D

I mean... youre so damn assimilated now.. I could almost mistake you for a redneck or a hillbilly.. wouldnt know you didnt grow up down the street from Kel and Eddie..

Rev,

You still got your coon skin cap and priest collar? Im thinking maybe we should make Doug an honorary southerner this visit and induct him into the local chapter of the Hillbilly Hall of Fame... you could do the honors if you can bring your suit...

:)

@rev.b Well now that there has done been in the wood too long and done lost all it's flavor! It's probably one of the few PVW's that still has some the old SW juice in it. I do prefer the Pappy 15 for some reason over the 20 and 23. In fact I actually like the 12 year old lot B better than any of them. These days it's all produced at Buffalo Trace. The Van Winkles have a very smart marketing plan in place and hand select their barrels that go into their Van Winkle bourbons.

We might have to re-locate the next Hillbilly HERF to Kentucky.. somewhere along the KY Bourbon Trail...

I did a tour of Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, and a few others on the trail last year.. and had a great time..

That might be a thought for a future HERF.. meet somewhere close to the trail (its only about a 2 hour drive from here).. spend a day smoking and hanging out.. then whoever in the group is interested, could go check out the Buffalo Trace distillery, or Wild Turkey, or whatever for a couple of hours... then head back to the HERF site and hang out the rest of the afternoon with the group, etc..

could be fun..
