My father always drank Chivas Regal. Thinking it may be next on the list. Anybody got thoughts?
Grew up with Chivas, my grandfather always had a bottle in the freezer or hidden somewhere so my grandmother wouldn't find it. It's great as a starter if you're not really sure what to get.

It was a toss up between the Chivas and Glenlivet---I choose the Glenlivet. It was my first bottle of Scotch ever. Pretty smooth stuff
Glenlivet has become my new favorite and always have a bottle on hand. You can find it at Costco or Trader Joes if you have one near you for $24 a bottle, most places will charge around $35 to $45 a bottle.

I started with the 12 year old and I believe it was $28.00 for a 750ml. I was surprised on just how smooth it was with just a little water on the rocks.
Welcome to the wonderful world of scotch. Next move to johnnie walker black, then when you're done with that garbage, your pallet will be ready for single malts. Glenrothes is deliciously sweet and smooth. Onto mcallan, oban, dalehinnie (a wild one). You'll be thanking yourself.

I have always been a bourbon drinker but decided to expand into port as well as scotch to go with my gars. The bad news is I found some single barrel Jack that I just have to try. I will have to try some of the better scotches sometime in the future.
