Is 5% a slight humidity change? I'm a noob so maybe it is. It has been more than a week at 60% though. Hygrometer is on point too.

Typically rh is all based on personal preference. Guys usually go anywhere from 65%-72%. I know a lot of folks on this forum try to stay around 65%. Personally I like to stay in the middle around 69%. I don't have enough knowledge to tell you whether a 5% drop is detrimental to the sticks or not.

Maybe one of the more experienced brothers could expound on the subject.

5% drop when adding new sticks is not uncommon. It happens all the time to me, especially if I add a new box to the wineador. In a week or so everything will even out. The point sofc is trying to make is; don't stress out over a small change in RH. If you have two large bovedas in a small desktop, that is plenty of humidification and it will stabilize. As long as your packs are sufficiently hydrated, close the lid and let them work.

So as long as they are somewhat squishy its good? They stop when hard? I am new to boveda and think my packs are less squishy than before, so I wonder.

Recharge the ones you think might be empty. Place a shallow dish inside a Tupperware container. Put a small amount of distilled water in the dish. Lay the boveda in the dish so a corner of the packet is touching the water. Seal the Tupperware container and leave for a few days. The boveda will be rehydrated. That is the quick tutorial on how to recharge one. If you have more than one, refill one while the other remains in your humi. Then refill the other one.
