If I am mad I find the angriest music I can and just scream with it. Thats what got me through childhood. Lol
That's what got me into the heavier end of the spectrum of the rock genre. Zeppelin, Godsmack, KoRn, Metallica
( especially the early stuff). I'm an old heavy metal fan. As long as I can understand the lyrics, that's where I draw the line lol

Death Punch and Avenged Sevenfold seem to be holding me now.
I saw Avenged and KoRn twice last year at mayhem festival. Saw that they were turning away from " progressive metal"
( Avenged) now. What the hell does that even mean? Sorry for the derail of the thread

A cigar always makes things better. Besides that music and a bourbon help relax me and take my mind off whatever is stressing me. A good book is always a nice retreat, but I have a hard time finding books that truly pull me in - let me give a really strong recommendation for most stuff by Don Winslow right here.

And like you Spanks, driving and blasting music is another one that really helps. There is just something about driving by yourself, jamming and singing along (as bad as it may be).
What kinda stuff do you like to read? Fiction, non fiction, what genres?

Fiction, mostly thrillers I suppose it would be categorized as, but I'm open to any recommendations. I got out of reading books for a long time, then I stumbled across this book "The Power of the Dog" by Don Winslow - probably my favorite book I have ever read. He has written a lot of really good stuff and his book "Savages" was made into a movie a few years back.

The author used to be a PI in Cali, so the books usually are set there. The Power of the Dog weaves three story line together with a focus on the war on drugs and Mexican drug cartels, and ties in real events like the shooting of a Catholic Cardinal outside an airport in Guadalajara.

If you have any recommendations, I have nothing to read at the moment lol.

Cigars, BOTL, music, reading and that is about it.

I've had injuries keep knock me out of the gym a couple of times over the last two years. I need to get back into it though. For me that was my church. I would go in with Rob Bailey and The Hustle Standard blasting and just zone out for a couple of hours.

Oh yeah i forgot the best way to deal with my stress. Make love with my wife! I noticed that was not listed in any of the comments. I made a deal with my wife 15 years ago before we got married. I will take care of her needs if she takes care of my needs. We all know a man has his needs. Fortunately for me she agreed to that deal. I have never heard the dreaded excuse almost every man that is married is told. "i have a headache or I am tired". Never hear that in the 15 years we have been together. All though I have heard "Are you gonna make it quick?" Okay TMI LMAO!

For myself, getting outside. I work in front of a computer all day so its nice just to get some fresh air.
When time / money allows I get to the shooting range. Clay games, distance target shooting, etc etch
When time and weather permits, Camping and astronomy. something about being under the stars helps put things into perspective.
