Didn't have a chance to snap a pic, but enjoyed a bowl of 4Noggins 5100 earlier tonight in a knockoff brand pipe. Would've been a little more enjoyable if I didn't overpack the bowl and have constant plugging. Rookie mistake.
The 5100 is a McClelland bulk tobacco aka Red Cake. A straight Virginia.

Smoking a little Nightcap in my Pipo nosewarmer on the way to lunch.

With the nice weather and everyone having their windows open, I heard a guy call out to me, "Buddy. For real?"

Seriously People! How many people do you know driving around with a pressed shirt and tie smoking on a wooden crack pipe lol?!!

Maybe he didn't think I was smoking a crack pipe. Who knows? What I do know is tons of people just stare at me when I am driving and smoking my pipe as though I am smoking a crack pipe lol. It's hilarious :).

You know you are doing something niche when... :)
There's a good Brooklyn response for that, but it would have probably escalated into a road rage incident. LOL

Started Thursday with Rattray's Red Rapparee, forgot my jar at home and used that as my excuse to stop and pick up some Carter Hall on the way home for the BOTL April Pipe Tobacco of the Month.
That is a very intriguing pipe. I think you've told before, but what is that, please?

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...

A Savinelli, in the 315 shape. It's called a Series III, but to my knowledge what it really is is a pipe that didn't make quality standards to compete the finishing process, sold unstained, unwaxed, with either a standard black stem or marbled yellow Lucite. Any Series III you come across has pits and visible fills, and they're cheap! (but still smoke like a Sav)
Also kind of cool in the fact that it will color over time like a meer since the briar is unfinished.

Check with PipeandLeaf.com . They get shipments of the Series III and will let you choose from them.

Some Old Joe Krantz with thanks to @thedismaltrade in a cob with my coffee. Really enjoying the flavors but it seems a bit too moist straight from the bag and won't stay lit. Next go round I will let dry before packing but I am finding that I really enjoy burley blends. So many baccys and not near enough time to enjoy them all. First world problems
