When I joined this forum several months ago I was amused at how people recited the mantra "if you stick around here you're going to need more storage". Of course I didn't fall for that silliness. Well after a couple of months I moved from a desktop humidor to a pair of tupperdors. The next thing I know I'm searching Kijiji for a used wine fridge. Damn you Brothers !

Anyway, I got an old Danby 18 bottle wine cooler and started my conversion. Here's the unit.

I then took a belt sander to the outside and glued some wood trim to the face around the glass.

Stay tuned for the next steps as I try to build an elegant winador for my office.

I think this is much cooler than shelves/drawers.

Someone should start doing this as a business: selling precut wood to make your own cabinet.
Agree. I could then move my wineador from the basement to the living room.

Better yet, if someone could develop a fitted cushion for the wineador I could sleep with it just as I've always dreamed I could.
