Just stumbled upon something I've been looking for for a long time. For all you DIY'ers on here, have yourself a ball.
This is called plastic canvas mesh. Readily available at your local Joann's or other fabric/craft store for less than a dollar. It is clear, flexible, sturdy, and the perforations are perfect for beads.
Not sure just how I'm gonna apply this material but being a woodturner I have some ideas in mind for tubes. Could definitely be used as just a lid on a small box as well. Easily cut with a sturdy pair of shears.
