Mine's similar. An 18-tall. ( 2wide x9 hi bottle spec ) Have you considered putting it on a little cabinet? Gets it off the floor, which you will find easier to view and selecting your treasure. Less Dust, ( or easier to manage, anyway ) The cabinet can store eccentrics, makes more room in the wineador.
but you probably already know this......
Right now, this is about the only place for it. I've mentioned briefly before that I'm staying with my mom and that my wife is in the Air Force in Korea. I should clarify.

I got into a car accident last December. I was hit and run by a minivan. I managed to get plates but didn't matter, she had no insurance. Either way, I tore several ligaments in my wrist and a surgery was required. This all happened after my wife accepted orders to be away for a year. Heck, we didn't realize I needed surgery until a month before she left. (don't get me started on how the doc refused to get me an MRI until I went through physical therapy)

So I had to find a way to care for my 2 year old while I recovered. I couldn't afford to hire a full time nanny do I was left with family being the only option. I had to move out of our rented home in Albuquerque, last minute with a busted wrist mind you, and I had to move into my mother's small house so that she and my other family members could help care for him.

I'm sorry, did I ramble? That is why the only place I have for my new wineador is the floor. Shoot, my cigars are currently sitting in a Pelican case rested on a kitchen chair.

So, all that said, I wish I could. I'll definitely keep that in mind when I get to wherever I may end up next.

Seps pay is prolly really nice if they separated yall for a year.

Anyhow just season it for a bit and the thing will be ready in no time! You could always stop by any b&m close by and request to see if they have any spare boxes to part with.

a Pelican case
Best traveldor and/or temp storage money can buy right there..

I used a Pelican 1200 (could fit about 20 sticks in there with the fluted foam inserts) as my primary traveldor for a long, long time..

I still use Pelicans for hard cases for all of my firearms, with the exception of my precision rifles.. for them I use Starlight...

LOVE me some Pelican.. Great product..

If you're near an IKEA, get a black LACK side table, $7.99. I have both of my wineadors on them, and they're perfect. Plus, they're just right for sliding a Coleman 28qt cooler underneath if you have overflow issues :D

EDIT: Just saw you're in El Paso, so no Ikea for you, unless you want to drive 8-10hrs! Check out Goodwill or a local thrift shop, they often have decent end tables. A little sandpaper and some spray paint could have a little end table looking great.

As far as the seasoning. I already got several boxes from a local B&M, two of them are crammed into my Pelican 1400 and have several 65% Boveda's intermingled.

The rest are going to be put into some rubbermaid storage bins, sealed with cellophane and filled with soaked kitty litter.

I'm going to order the SC soon, and I'll likely season it the same way as I am the boxes. I'm just deciding on what wood, if a different one, I may use as a face for the drawers. Considering the compact size of this fridge I may just order 1/4" thick sheets and just double it up on the face and cut a notch to pull the drawer instead of fancy handles.

@ChuckMejia I wish I could say that the separation pay was great and I'm buying Opus X's by the box, but the AF will always be the AF. She's been gone over two months and we still haven't got it, lol. On top of that, they sent her over there with no room for her in the barracks, so while the AF is paying the rent, she's had to buy all the necessary stuff for apartment living.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I find it amusing enough to share the silliness in our bureaucratic policies. One last tangent I promise - it's hilarious to me to think that instead of ensuring a room is established for each airman being sent to Korea before sending them, they rush them over, then place them in a local hotel. (which the government will ultimately pay for) for several weeks, then will place them in a government run hotel on base (which is again paid for initially by the service member but ultimately the government is pulling cash from its back pocket to the front left pocket and then moving cash from the front right pocket back to a different back pocket) lol Then, after all this, they have the service member find quarters off base, which the local economy has priced at the highest range our government will pay, and good ol Uncle Sam then pays the service member the full price of the apartment and utilities.

Here's where it's truly amusing, they could have sent us to be with her but one of the reasons was that family housing was unavailable. If you're paying attention, they are paying for her to live in a 2 bedroom apartment. Lol.

If you can overlook that this is your tax money being spent I hope you can find it as amusing as I do that Uncle Sam is ultimately paying for my home, her home, a food stipend, her regular pay and (eventually) separation pay. Hehe

All that said just to validate my logic. If the government can waste that much money, I can load up on some good stogies!

Have you thought about flying out there and joining her to make the most use of the BAH?
As soon as I'm done with my final appointment with my orthopaedic surgeon and several weeks of physical therapy, we're flying to Korea.

So if any of you have been in or around Osan (Seoul) and know where I should be buying cigars, please let me know. I'll be heading that way in July.

How's it going. Command sponsorship can be a pain, best to be there with it as it makes the whole medical situation for family a lot easier, if your going there without it it's still not too bad and you get to be there with your loved one.
Money. If ya'll will continue to stay off post this is where the money is to be made...or not. I don't know the difference in cost of living from Osan to Daegu but Daegu was on the lower end compared to Seoul (also not sure but don't think Osan will be at the same rate as Seoul), the money maker is in the utilities. Think green and you should be rewarded for it. Also some realtors will have the option of a standard monthly rate for utilities and you can use however much you want, that's a loss, they wouldn't do it if the money was less than what was consumed.

Finally cigars. I didn't find anything around Osan but I also didn't look that hard. In Seoul in Gangnam Shinsegae (a mall) at the Marriott attached to it is a cigar shop on the lobby floor. While I was there it was owned by a couple, the husband being a Reservist in the Army, ownership changed hands right before I left in 2014. It was a legit shop at the time selling habanos and a few NCs (which I stayed away from). It's my understanding that import tobacco tax is high in Korea so cigars are expensive, a Cohiba Siglo VI costing close to 60 USD. In Busan the 4 and 5 star hotels usually have cigars at the bars (Busan is a port city with a lot of international business), it would seem that cigar smoking is not popular in Korea and that does make it a bit hard to scout things out for a foreigner or local. Also in Itaewon in the Hamilton shopping plaza next to the Hamilton hotel there was some vendor selling habanos. Save your time, no humidor boxes just chillin in the elements, I didn't waste my time but must be faux and at the least not taken care of. RyJ tubos at the convenient marts (family mart, etc), again just sitting out at the checkout area, so I never gave them the time of day. Anyway hope that helps any. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Online ordering: A few sites will send to APO free of charge, which is an awesome gesture! Other sites such as BCP charge a flat rate of 16 bucks and send 3 sticks (oba oba, Kensington, etc etc bundle bs) as a "kind" gesture, when the reality of it is it cost the same to send to APO as it would Atlanta, Chicago, LA. So the 6 dollar flat rate cost you 16 and so on and so forth. For me it's like buying 3 bundle sticks that I didn't want at an inflated price in the name of supporting troops.

One quick thing. Be mindful of free ground shipping, with anything. Ground shipping usually entails Parcel Post (the cheap way), which isn't too terribly bad in the states. However ground across the water equals by ship and it can take 6 weeks to get there, potentially extremely bad for cigars. Just inquire about it with the vendor first if at all possible.

The wife is already out there solo, command sponsorship isn't even on the table, my son and I are just visiting for a few months then we're going to do a road trip across the US. The plan is to spend time with her family (NoVA/DC Metro and Tennessee) after returning so they get an opportunity to spend time with my son which they almost never see.

I figured the import taxes were going to be the determining factor in my purchases, I may just bring a good bit and not smoke so much.

Either that or I may buy extras now and just mail them before I leave. It has yet to be decided.

Thanks for the advice and the heads up.
