My mom just suffered a heart attack today, and is currently in a coma. Unfortunately, the doctors don't have a prognosis today. I ask that all of you as my fellow BOTLers think positive thoughts for her recovery. Even though I do not believe in God, my mom does have faith and ask that you pray for her as well. I feel awful and partly responsible as I recently moved away from my family. My mom has always been my biggest supporter, and I only hope I can offer her the support she needs now.

My thougts and prayers being sent your way! From someone who works in a hospital setting, be there for her as much as you can at her bedside. If you can hold her hand and talk to her. She might not be able to see you but maybe hear you. God has some funky ways of doing things. Stay positive!!!

Sorry to hear bro. I'll keep you and her in my thoughts and in my prayers. Also, don't blame yourself. These things just happen sometimes and there's nothing you could have done. Be there for her now and keep thinking positive!

I'm praying for your Mom Alan and even though you don't believe in God I hope that it's OK for me to pray for you as well. I understand your feelings of guilt in this situation but I honestly don't think that you are responsible in any way for your mother's heart problems. Like others have said, sometimes that stuff just happens and I'm sure that other factors such as heredity, lifestyle, age, etc are the real reasons behind What happened. I think that CVAC085 had the best advice in that you should be there for her as much as you can.
Brother, I doubt you are responsible for her condition any more than a complete stranger would be...so do NOT blame yourself!
