Very nice beer, very nice cigar. What a pity they clash so strongly. I love sours, but I'm resigned to the fact that I can't enjoy a smoke with them. Your mileage may vary.
Try Rodenbach grand cru and pare it with a Headley Grange. The beer will taste like tart cherry pie. Good combo. Great sour gateway beer at a good price point. Stay away from Jolly Pumpkin. Way to advanced to pare well.

Love the Rodenbach, never tried that particular pairing though.

I have been enjoying a lot of Saisons this summer the citrus without being sour and subtle pepper notes pair well with cigars. I've been through most of those available so I thought I try a sour. I try some others before pairing with a cigars.

I'm an investor in a start up brewery and I tell you what... I would put our Saison up against any one out there. Our zymergists/ brew masters are amazing.

And you're right, it's s style that goes great with cigars.

How do we get our hands on some off this delicious saison, may I ask?

Try Fantôme de Noel then. Fantastic Saison to pair with cigars.

Since we're discussing Belgian beer if you can find it try Tsjeeses by De Struise Brouwers. Absolutely the best beer I've paired with cigars.

So... We're licensed and legal, but not open for business yet. Construction is still ongoing on the brewery. So right now we're doing small batches (11 or 12 gallons at a time) and I'm taking it in growlers to cigar events or we're giving it away as samples in their winery.

In a couple months you'll be able to visit the brew pub just West of Fredericksburg, VA. I'll keep everyone posted.
