Roasted up some Guatemalan beans that were bombed to me by @BoneYard over the weekend. Gave them a few days of rest and am enjoying it. I roasted a little darker than intended and there was a little scorching but it's still damn good coffee.

SUMATRA ULOS BATAK

TASTING NOTES
Grapefruit zest, Papaya, Fresh soil, full body
STORY
Occasionally we come across a coffee that makes us rethink what a certain varietal or region should taste like. This offering from Sumatra is one of those coffees for us. It represents a carefully picked and processed lot that has the softness of an Ethiopian and the sweetness of a Panamanian but with the body that a Sumatran normally carries. This lot is outstanding and will be enjoyed not only by lovers of Sumatran coffee but by coffee enthusiasts in general.

This is the info for the latest blend of coffee from the Temple Coffee Roasters site where I buy my coffee

Just my regular Starbucks French Roast this morning. I wish I could find some really good Ethiopian Harrar. At its best it has the most intense blueberry flavor I have ever seen. If anybody knows of a really good source of Ethiopian beans please let me know. I love the fruity notes of a good one.

SBFR is my go-to as well. I really just drink coffee for the "get up and go".
Interestingly, you can find Ethiopian Harar at Starbucks... :)
