I couldn't wait and just brewed a cup in the French press. While tomorrow and the next day's cups will be better, this is fantastic stuff. Along with the bakers chocolate there is a tropical fruit thing going on that is very pleasant. I haven't had many Ethiopians due to a bad experience with a local roasters offering, but knowing how to roast to my tastes I will be stocking up now. As the picture shows the chaff did not want to let go very well but despite the rustic/rough appearance I'm loving it
Sounds really good. I've actually gotten "banana" along with the baker's chocolate in some Ethiopians. That's probably very close to the tropical fruit you mentioned.

The fruit flavors that I pick up most often in Ethiopians is blueberry. One of the best coffees I have ever had believe it or not was a Starbucks Ethiopian Harrar in one of their very limited releases 10 -12 years ago. Been on the search for an equivalent ever since. That coffee reeked and tasted like warm blueberry syrup without sugar. Fabulous.

Ordered some Pub Blend from Strange Coffee Company and it arrived yesterday. Opened it this morning and the beans shined and glistened with oil. Smells great and taste better.

Ordered from homeroastcoffee.com today, 2lbs of brazilian and 2lbs Ethiopian. I will report back once it is roasted to see if the quality is as good as from Sweet Maria's. They have better pricing and shipping costs so I figured I would give them a shot

That's the place I usually order from. Have been eyeballing a few others lately too that have cheaper shipping but I have always been super happy with the quality that sweet Maria's has
Have to say I've tried a few others and the beans from SM just seem to be better quality.
If you like a nutty mild bean then try the Nicaragua Acopio Suyatal. I roasted some last night and it's great for all day drinking.
