Right on!!!
Ever have cravings pop up, or you in the clear?
Every once and a while, but they go almost as quick as they come. Normally seeing someone smoke in the car makes me want a cigarette, but overall it doesn't really appeal to me. Crazy to think about the hold it had on me.

Thanks to all of yall for your continued support!

Just now seeing this. Way to go man!

@ItsBarbarino , question - did quitting cigarettes affect your taste in cigars?
It's hard to say. I definitely smoke slower, and taste a lot more nuance now. My tastes are different now then they were a year ago, but I've only been smoking cigars 2 years, so I'm not quite sure how stable they were to begin with if that makes sense.

Makes sense. I followed a similar pattern, quit cigs a little over a year after starting cigars and was intrigued at how my tastes had changed over the first few months. I went from lots of DPG and AJF to the likes of NC Montes for a while, before expanding my horizons all over again. Now that you mention it, I'm not sure how much of that was from "starting over" with fresh taste buds, and how much of it had to do with the fact that my palate was still developing.

But yeah, I smoke a lot slower now too. The only real drawback is that I'm constantly refilling my torches because of all the relights.

How's goes the quitting @ItsBarbarino ?

I have been a smoker for around 11 years, and picked it up real heavy (a pack + a day) when I got sober 6 years ago.
"Addiction transfer" is quite common. We're all creatures of excess in some way...for me, it's food.

I have tons of willpower, I'll be fine!
If only it were that simple! You're only human, so this can't be easy. The good news is, you have a support group right here anytime you need it...(y)

I have the gum (not a fan of the patch), candies, sunflower seeds, water bottles, and have scheduled as much of my day as I can tomorrow. I have a support system in place of people I can call if things get really ugly.
Sounds like the plan is working! Maybe go for a walk if things get really tough? Just a thought...:)

Brother, keep going and don't look back. Give your car keys to a friend you trust or significant other if you feel the urge to go get a pack.

Positive thoughts and prayers...Jason

Quitting cigarettes sucks. I quit cigs around 10+ years ago now, cold turkey from 2 packs a day. Pipes, and now the addition of cigars I think the only thing that's enabled me to stay off of them for so long even though I still miss them. No turning back now though - I have a 6 year old son that will never see me smoke a cigarette!

Good on you man, keep it up!
