I had a good steak last night with a bottle of Cougar Crest cab followed by a Tatuaje Cojonu 2006 w/ a couple of glasses of Napa Cellars Merlot.

Dre, thanks for the info. I'll give some wine a try with a cigar. Never had that combo before, and I think it's about time I tried.

May have to try the Merlot for a break from the Bourban tonight. Any suggestions on which cigar of Todd's would go well with a Merlot????

Nice write up Dre. I always thought that a cigar would just overpower any glass of wine so I stuck to bourbon, scotch, cognac, and the likes. I'll give the Yellow Tail Shiraz a try with the next smoke. Thanks

As a newbie, I am told that the pairing is much like cigars....it is individual as to each person's taste. I think you should open any bottle of wine at Todd's house and work your way through his humi until you find a cigar that you like!!!:tonguerol
