An incredibly mediocre day for cigars.
First up, no laughing please, is the Drew Estate Progeny. Yes, a flavored cigar. Never had any flavored cigar before but this one was a freebie in one of my recent orders and I thought it would be a shame to just toss it. Plus my wife didn't even want it so it was up to me. I'm a long time pipe smoker that despises aromatic tobacco in ever way shape and form. My wife told me, several times, that I was going to hate it.

I should have listened to her. This thing was horrible. The tobacco itself wasn't even too good. But adding the goofy flavor on top of it... blech. At least I got that checked off the list.

I had to run out before lunch time to my son's school open house. So of course I used that as an opportunity to have a smoke. Another crappy sampler cigar.

My ride home cigar was yet another sampler cigar. I still have like 20 of these random cigars left. I hope they're not all bad lol

And now I'm smoking a Partagas Black. I got a 5-er of these based on the recommendation of a friend at work. Maybe I'm just cranky today, because this one isn't that great either. It's ok, but on the mild side and just not a flavor profile I usually smoke. Not sure how to describe it, maybe it's too bright and airy. Just seems kind of strange to me.

Life is too short to smoke crappy cigars, brother. In my short window of experience, I've learned that $2 on a horrible cigar is a bigger waste of money than $10 on an average cigar.

Finally made it to green bay and sitting in title town smoking a litto gomez.
To start the drive...

Then after crossing in to wisconsin...

And now the litto with some laphoaig triple wood...

Watching the game tonight then going to navy pier tomorrow. After that driving to the lake at a friend's house for the rest of the weekend where I'll be proposing!
Good luck with the proposal.

P.S. Green Bay's last Superbowl win was 5 years ago. Title town? Really?

It's just a nickname. It's not legally binding. Kind of like the Cowboys being "America's Team" although most of the population living outside of a trailer park can't stand them.
Lol....not a problem. I'm a Red Wings fan who lives in Ontario Canada and my buddies who are Maple Leaf or Canadiens fans go batshit whenever the whole Detroit is Hockeytown thing gets mentioned.

So what's the verdict?
I'm glad I got the chance to smoke one. I have a couple more that are gonna nap for a while longer before I try one again. It started off quite spicy/peppery on the retro but calmed down considerably within the first 1/4 inch. After that it was a nice cedar, maybe even oak, with some hints of nuttiness and a quick finish. As it got to the last third and down to the nub it left a tingle on the tongue similar to red pepper flake. The construction was great and the burn was excellent like most other cigars from Warped. I had to relight it twice but that was my own doing, dinner and putting the kids to bed. After I pulled it out of the wineador I dry boxed it for about two days.

Yep, I agree. These are from me just starting, two or three months ago lol. I've learned in this short time that I'm a good cigar snob I think. Or maybe I'm just picky. I've been told that before :)

Decided to make the sunshine at night! With thanks to @Mossome
