While I realize these are very rare does DE still make these, and supply to retailers?

I'm having zero luck finding any, except for CBid where they run about $150 a five pack. Not sure I'm willing to drop that amount of coin when I could buy Padron FR instead.

$150 a fiver? Thats a lot. MSRP is something like $17-18. They come in batches, so they're not always available.

Don't pay anything over $20 for a FFP you can find them for sale at times in our trade section. Plus, they kinda suck unless you lest them rest for a longggg time.

As always you guys are a huge help.

I'm really enjoying the DE line, and the FFP's are on my list. Looks like I need to give the L40 and UF-13 a go as well.

I would advise you not to go crazy trying to find them and to not shell out big money to try them either. In my opinion, they simply aren't worth it but I'm sure other people would disagree. I wouldn't go so far as to tell you not to try them though, just wait for the price to be right. If your local can get some pick up a single and try it. If not, small batch also gets them every once and a while for a solid price, so that could be a good way to try some of the various Unicos.

Thanks to the good brothers here I got a 5'er on the way. I've really enjoyed every LP I've had so far, and this one has been on my list to try for quite sometime.

Thanks to all who replied.

I used to search non stop for Unicos until I tried them all. They are all decent but very pricey, or can be. I no longer hunt. If I see some I may grab a single or 2, but there are a lot of great cigars out there that won't hurt your wallet.

When I first came across the DE Unico line a few years back, I tried to get every one of them that I could. I paid a premium at times just to have them. I would very much take the advise of these fellows. Do not over pay for them. They come up for sale all the time at various places. Often times you can get them for MSRP or very close.

I would for sure try them all if I was you, they are tasty little buggers.

I know Lil Brown Smoke Shack in Yakima, WA has Pigs and Ratzilla's. But I need to ask if they only sell them in the store like they do with Opus X or do they sell them online or over the phone like everything else they have. They had about 20 of each plus a ton of regular No 9 & T52.

I'm not a big liga fan , never really had a taste for the FFP but i'm not big on large ring guages. I would say my favorites are the Dirty Rat, T52 with age or the old original release undercrown corona viva (if youcan find one). The prices are insane on some of these, driven up by the fanboys. Far better smokes can be had for half the price.

I agree... don't pay crazy prices for any cigar. SRP + local taxes - that should be your max price on any in production SKU.

Remember, the MAKER is not getting the benefit of any of these markups, it is totally the seller reaping the benefit of over inflated prices on any and all brands.

Seller and (by way of higher pricing, unless there is a cap) Government.

I prefer that money go to the producer.

@ssaka is it really a bad thing if a retailer hikes up the price? In order to get the Liga Unicos or Opus X retailers often have to buy a lot of national brands to get the rarer cigars. Thus, I understand them wanting to make a slightly larger margin on Unicos and Opus. The truth is selling those boxes above MSRP will have little effect on their yearly revenue as you don't get enough of that product that it will make up a large part of your revenue. However, I understand a retailer's point of view even if it is somewhat shortsighted.
