Pipes and Cigars. The order was in March, I think, so no clue how fresh their more recent supply is. Wouldn't it just be my luck to order some tins to cellar and try fresh and get more of the '06@Mr. Guy ... you ordered that recently and got a tin from 2006? Where's you order from?? I had that and I think it was a tin of the Acadion Ribbon back then and remember loving them both. I'm on a serious cigar buying freeze. But Maybe I'll have to not include pipe tobacco in that mix lol
Who made that pipe? Looks like an Omar King pipe.
It doesn't have a makers mark, it is just stamped made in Greece. One of my best smokers for sure though and one of my favorites. I think I paid $30 for it about a year ago and it is really starting to color up nicelyWho made that pipe? Looks like an Omar King pipe.
I have to say I agree with you on the baccy. It wasn't bad, just not one that really grabbed me.
I forgot to post up yesterday!
Finishing up #wiebeweek with the LE RADwarden from Hekthor @hwiebepipes and Mike @tobaccopipecollectors
And one last shot of C&D Haunted Bookshop for a while. Wasn't really my thing...
I still have to go back and post a review...I have to say I agree with you on the baccy. It wasn't bad, just not one that really grabbed me.
SPC Potlatch is amazing stuff!! Glad you enjoyed it!!Sitting on the front porch, in the rain. Seemed like the right time for Seattle Pipe Club Potlatch.
ETA:
A special thans to @CVAC085 for this one. That stuff was bonkers. I even found myself wondering if it would be possible to get the recipe and try making a long filler cigar out of it. I'm thinking a Corojo seco binder and CT maduro wrapper would be great with it.

I saw a post on the gentlemans pipe smoking society that had the same issue with a green Peterson. He sent it to them and they retained it. His was due to sunlight according to him but I do believe I've seen the same issue another time so might be a recurring issue.Today's first pipe is my Racing Green Peterson. I got this pipe a number of years ago, when it was MUCH greener than it is now. A friend of mine when to the Peterson Factory tour last year and told them about his green pipe that was fading, and they told him they'd never heard of it! I actually kind of dig the faded color now.
I smoked the GLP Navigator tonight. Surprisingly enough, to me, I didn't hate it. It's not my normal style of tobacco, but it wasn't bad. I'll smoke another bowl or two before I pass final judgement, but I don't think it'll be one that I just blow off without any consideration.
My next pipe is another Peterson with some Tom's Red and Black. It's a blend from a local shop, John B Hayes Tobaccanist. It's supposed to be similar to McClellands Virginia Woods. I haven't had Virginia Woods in ages, so I can't confirm that, but I do really love this tobacco!
Definately not sunlight in my case. But I kinda like it as it is, so no restaining for me.
