While wondering around a casino this past weekend, I stumbled upon a lounge. I was trying to find a nice place to smoke a cigar, and this place was perfect. I noticed in the back was a humidor, and naturally I had to go look. Noticed the usual, some Padron, Opus X, etc, then I noticed a couple boxes of Cubans. They had a box of the Partagas and also a box of Siglo IV's. They wanted $50 each for them, and quite a few were gone. I know you can bring back up to $100 worth from Cuba, but you can't sell them at a retail level yet. Just thought I would share, as it's the first time I've come across this.

There is a company in the US that will sell you fakes.
I have seen the price lists and the product, close but fakes........

They are supplying a lot of out of the way dealers and curb markets.
No surprise to see them, still illegal to sell them.......

I'm not a professional by any means, but these looked 100% legit to me.
It's really hard to tell from the photos, but the bands just look off, even from a distance. The red bands look too tall, and the black looks too thick on the EL band. Do you remember what the year was on those?

Those that know how to get the real thing, also know well enough that you can't do this...

Those that buy fakes may well enough be duped into believing the seller that this can be done

Eta: could also be con man with known fakes and using that knowledge as their excuse if caught... "but they're not cc, just says that to help sales"

Think if you had some better pics there are a dozen or so guys here that can tell you in a second if they are legit or not.

That said, more often than not with the "are these legit" threads, they aren't.... If it seems too good to be true, it usually ain't.

I believe they were 2011 or 2012, if I remember correctly.

I guess either way, people were buying them.

I should've taken some better pictures. I'll take some better ones when I make it down there next.

Reservations are governed and policed with varying enforcement standards.

there's a problem -fraud- when seller knowingly selling fakes to buyer. so the more likely being real cc's.

That's exactly what made me think they might be authentic, the fact that they were for sale on a reservation.

Under the embargo act, as a us citizen you still can't buy CCs in any country, let alone a Indian reservation. That has still not been lifted. Which means they still have no customer base. My guess is they have been selling these fakes for years.

Even with the blurry pics, the EL band looks obviously fake.

Ive seen cuban cigars on a local reservation here including Behikes in a 25-count box. A friend of someone on this forum bought one of these boxes a few years ago. 25-ct Behike boxes dont exist.

Regardless of whether these are fake or real, can they sell Cubans on an Indian Reservation? Aren't they technically their own nation outside of US law?
