Hey guys and gals, I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I've smoked a pipe for about 12 years and am just now getting more into cigar smoking. I'm excited to see what other guys like/dislike, how you store, buy and smoke your cigars. Any newbie forum tips?

Thanks, I just got the entire Oliva factory series as well as about 30 90+ rated sticks. I'm keeping a dossier to remember the goods and bads.

Very nice!!! What kind of pipe tobaccos did you smoke?? IMHO, coming from cigar smoking and picked up on piping it's a whole new ballgame. A lot to learn and get down your preference of what you like and don't like.

I've smoked about 10 cigars in the past 10 days and so far my favorite was the Peres Carillo. Delicious. Anyone else had the La Historia?

I smoke mostly English blends. I love nightcap, bayou night, crown achievement, engine 99 and medal of valor. Smoking mostly English blends without casings, I've found cigars to not be too far of a stretch.

What I'd recommend, is checking out the Today's Smoke - 2016 thread. See what others are smoking and go from there. MOST you can get on-line from our retailers that support our forum. Of course, there's always those smokes that are limited edition, rare or even discontinued as well. It would probably be a good start down the cigar slope.
