Hey b/sotl!,
Thanks ahead of time for any help, loving this place its been very welcoming and have met already a few people I would consider friends and can't wait to have more! Back to topic, my small humidor has started to overflow and now I moved to a tupperdor, a large one I bought from target that I see a few people on here use (below). Have a few bovedas in there at the moment but was gunna switch to crystal KL after its a bit more full. Anyways, at the moment I have almost no sticks to put in there except for 2 small boxes and one on the way and the capacity of the tupperdor is like 54 quarts so its struggling to keep RH. Wondering what people recommend for that, can't just buy more boxes at the time as I am still in the job search after moving here to Utah and funds are struggling unfortunately. Just want to make sure my cigars don't suffer in the meantime. Thought of a few things, recommendations welcome:

1) Throw smaller tupperdor in there to displace air in there?
2) Put my humidor in there to displace air?
3) ?

Anything else welcome, sorry if this is a dumb question, hope everyone is having a good week and ready for Friday and heading to the weekend!

Get a smaller tupperdor for now. They're less than 10 bucks. Filling up a humidor without a job probably isn't a good idea anyways. When you get settled and have a steady income, upgrade when necessary and use the tupperware from before for storage of something else :)
See I was thinking same thing of a smaller one but can't go much longer and even be able to fit a few boxes in it, cause then the next one that comes ill just outlive that size anyways, and actually got a call about a job offer this morning so that may soon be changing (knock on wood).

Fill the extra space with EMPTY cedar boxes from your local B&M. They're a lot cheaper (sometimes even free) than the full ones and will help you keep you RH steady.

Just be sure that you "season" them first so that you do not suck all the humidity out of your setup.

Why do you guys always add confusion to the issue?

Use the one you have:
  • Open the lid.
  • Put cigars in.
  • Put a boveda or two in.
  • Close the lid.
  • Enjoy life without stressing over the cigars.
Haha Im not stressing out about it, just wanted to ensure the ones I bought stay how I want them for the time being. Already had to mod the box they were in cause it said "airtight" but was slipping under 50rh, should be good now.
