Keep your cigars in the cello if that's what they came in. Will help protect the wrapper if you're always jostling or moving the cigars around. I think the cedar sticks are used in some boxes of 25 cigars where there are 2 layers of cigars. The top row has 13 cigars and the bottom row has 12 cigars and the cedar where the 13th cigar would have gone.

@knw247 One last request? Can you educate me on the purpose the cedar stick accomplish when placed in the cigar boxes. I would appreciate the reasoning behind doing this particular action if you know.

The reason to put the cedar in there is to help stabilize the Humidity. The cedar absorbs the humidity and gives you a quicker rebound when you open and close it.
