With three holes, I'd be leery of the entire stash. But sweet find on the humi for sure.

Yeah the cabinet alone is worth more than I paid. Not a single scratch in it. Then you add the 1yr old Oasis and it makes it an even better deal. Because of that I wouldn't cry too much to part with them. They're in the freezer after a 3hr stint in the fridge since last night. I will probably try to save them and just keep my good smokes separate in my tupperdore for some weeks and monitor the ones in the tower for any new damage.

So after leaving it on and closed overnight, there's a 16% different in RH -- 81% at the bottom where the Oasis is, 65% up top. There isn't any sticks in it to block the air movement. Will the boveda packs be sufficient or should I go ahead and order some heartfelt beads for up top?

What's the problem? 65 is perfect.

At this point, you don't know what it will be with cigars in it. Put cigars in the middle and top and see what happens after a few days.

There's really no way to answer your question without knowing the amount of cigars you'll be putting in and the RH after it settles with the cigars in it.

I have several pounds of heartfelt beads spread throughout my tower and only get about a 5% variance top to bottom. Is it fully seasoned? You may need to give it a couple weeks to get fully seasoned and ready for smokes, regardless of what the previous owner stated.

Cause it was 81% at the bottom and still going? Tonight it's reading 88% at the bottom and 72% at the top. The sensor on the Oasis really needs calibrated... it's reading 63%. Not sure what the guy has the cut off set to. I'll calibrate the sensor and set it to 65% when I get the replacement beads in tomorrow.

This must be why the cigars he had down at the bottom within a couple inches of the Oasis were moldy. That thing had to be running a lot. I'd think the Boveda and heartfelt up top will help maintain a better balanced humidity since the sensor that turns on the Oasis is up top. Also faster recuperation after opening the door. But I really don't know I'm a total noob.

Update:

Seems to be running well now. I moved the fans and cleaned up the wires, adjusted the Oasis sensor to kick on at like 55%, put a pound of 65% heartfelt in there, and threw some 65% bovedas in the drawers for fun. Mounted three calibrated hygrometers and they're within 4-5% of each other.
As for the beetle-fied sticks, I removed them from the freezer and returned them to the tower humidor. I left my good sticks in my tupperdore. I'll wait a few weeks and reexamine all of the sticks again for further damage or tobacco dust. If that passes I'll load my good cigars in it.

Also, another +1 to Amazon. No only did they offer to foot the $60 return label bill for my mistake they are now refunding me without even receiving the item. It's stuck in UPS land and hasn't had any updates since Feb 25th with no delivery date.

So I scored a pretty good deal on Craigslist from a guy getting out of the hobby. A large tower humidor, a Cigar Oasis Magna humidifier, and 175+ cigars. I just got home and have the cigars in a ziplock bags as my tupperdore is full.

Should I continue to humidify this tower with the Cigar Oasis? How often should the beads be replaced? They are extremely moist right now and the top layer is slightly brown (see picture.) He had it at the bottom of the tower, the sensor up top along with two tiny (~1.5") extra fans up top. I'm guessing if it was good enough for him, it's good enough for me and I might as well get his sticks back in there and adjust as necessary? First thing on the list: a couple hygrometers...

Very nice find! I current use cigar oasis and it's great just do the typical checking of humidor before adding cigars to the humidor

Okay... a good 3-4 weeks later I went in and checked each cigar and no signs of damage. Calling it good. Moved my tupperdore sticks to the tower and prepped the tupperdore to bomb to a good friend @HossTheBoss. I was going to hang on to it in case I did flavored cigars but @Stogie_Bear gave me the idea to pass it on. Now he just needs a lighter and cutter so he can stop using mine, lol.

I have to avoid looking too closely at the tower right now or my wallet will be hurting immensely.
