If that were true than General Cigar and Davidoff would win every year as they advertise a lot. None of the big companies have won in awhile.its normally whoever pads the pockets the most

They have had boutiques on the list in the past like Espinosa, Caldwell, and Illusione, so I wouldn't be surprised.if CH or Warped make the CA list, I will be very surprised
It's a Limited Edition cigar. Usually limited edition cigars or one-offs don't make the list.Las Calaveras 2016 should be on there (well if it were up to me anyway)
I will still be very surprised, Mr. Aficionado, sir. They have had boutiques on the list in the past like Espinosa, Caldwell, and Illusione, so I wouldn't be surprised.
I think we will see a few smaller companies this year. I could be wrong.I will still be very surprised, Mr. Aficionado, sir.
Being as it's an LE, it likely won'tI don't pay much attention and might smoke 2 of the top 10 on any given year. That being said I would like to see Maestro Del Tiempo get a top 10 spot. That is a tasty cigar.
Just the 6102r was. The others are regular production.Being as it's an LE, it likely won't
General owns CAO, the Flathead was #3 in 2015If that were true than General Cigar and Davidoff would win every year as they advertise a lot. None of the big companies have won in awhile.
I forgot about that, as I only bought the one with 2 bandsJust the 6102r was. The others are regular production.
That's the one I was referring to. Why they distributed those in cabs of 100 only I'll never understand.I forgot about that, as I only bought the one with 2 bands
As usual Jon spot on.BOTL - I hesitated to comment, at first...buuuuuut--here's my .02.
The CA Top 25 is fairly easy to predict--at least the first 10 or so spots. You've got a 90% shot that the following will have a place among the Top 10 there: Padron, Fuente, Ashton, Rocky, and some General and/or Altadis product. Throw in a Cuban or 2--AND (very importantly) one you don't really see coming that you wouldn't expect--that's their attempt to prove "See--we're unbiased and this isn't based upon ad revenue." Past examples: Viaje, Aging Room, PdR, etc.
Currently, their 'boutique-golden-boy' is Dion (Illusione)--but I will say that he deserves it. His cigars are excellent.
IMHO, I think Pete (Tatuaje, L'Atelier) has been long overdue and doesn't get his credit due there.
At the end of the day, we can say what we will about the CA Top 25 list; however, it always manages to create good discussion, and let's face it--we all look forward to it because it's just fun to anticipate and watch it unfold.
Cheers!

Alan knows bro, he's the guru of cigars. Dead ass, facts B.I will still be very surprised, Mr. Aficionado, sir.
Are you saying that you would enjoy the magazine less if there were half-dressed girls?Every year the TOP 25 list from CA gets a lot of cynicism. I happen to enjoy the magazine. It's a guilty pleasure to read a men's lifestyle magazine that's not full of half-dressed young girls. Of course they tend to review sticks that their advertisers promote. I'd do the same. The top 10 are always great cigars, maybe not my personal preference but they are quality smokes. I enjoy the list every year, especially the list of best bargains.
