Cutting into and lighting up a new stick not knowing what to expect.. and then BOOM. A fantastic smoking experience that you were hoping for but with a new stick you didn’t really know what was coming. I’m talking cigars that cement themselves into your top 10 or even top 5! Have you ever smoked something that really blew you away?

When I was getting into cigars back in 2013, was gifted an AF Hemi Best Seller Maduro that had a couple of years on them and within the first couple of puffs, immediately fell in love with it. Went a little crazy and brought a couple of boxes, one to smoke, the other to stash away. Just opened up the second box the other month and loving them. To this day, the Best Seller vitola is still my favorite in the Hemingway line.

It's a beautiful list, each one invokes delicious heavenly thoughts:

Le bijou torpedo (blind reviewed)
Las mareas tuberia
Warped Flor de Valle cristales
Something/anything from @blisscigarco's rolling table
Paniolo '15
Crux PB5 (OR)
Tatuaje Unico
Hoyo de Monterrey Epi Delux
Diplomaticos No. 2

And, the crowning gem, Paul Stulac's Lord of Albany maduro

You all are going to get annoyed at me talking about this stick so much but it was the JDN Dark Corojo that was exactly like this. It was 3 years ago, I was still puffing Cohiba Red Dots and Dominican blends, and my roommate who also enjoyed cigars told me to try a Nicaraguan. I had never smoked a Nicaraguan before, only Dominicans. I went to the local B&M and the JDN DC was the only Nicaraguan they had in the humidor that felt properly humidified and not dried out. I bought two, one for me and my roommate. It was love at first smoke. I still remember how blown away by that stick I was.

Cohiba - Edicion Limitada 2003 Double Coronas.

It’s a Maduro that was extremely strong and was probably the best cigar I ever smoked.

Montecristo - 2008 Edicion Limitada Sublimes

Crazy good smoke

Bolivar - Liberatador
It’s sublime size Violeta and was aged 3-4 years. Tremendous, floral and berry aftertaste. Creamy smooth

That cigar is pretty good the JDN Antano Dark Corojo, but try to find some Habanos you will never look back

I don't know man. Sounds like John is in that stronger flavor profile stage right now. I don't know how much they'd really grab his attention at this point. Could be way off there. Just the first thought I had.
I need to try that JDN, I have one waiting on me in the cooler..
And I just keep thinking of all kinds of things John needs to try.... :sneaky:

That’s true he might like the Robina it’s a heavier smoke. One of the more full bodied Habanos

I've always digged strong and deep flavored cigars. I feel like it's like a piece of dark chocolate or red wine. All that darkness translates to a whole lot of flavor depth.

You sure do need to try it Glassman. In fact what size is the one in your cooler? The Robusto is especially delicious. ;) Have you had the JDN Antaño in Gran Consul? And have you tried the La Herencia Cubana CORE?

Not sure which one a I have, it came in a sampler. Its longer than a robusto.

I'll try to get to it soon. Just so many in the queue to try, it takes a while to get to them... ;)
