Welcome from Indiana, don't worry about a humidor, just buy a 120qt cooler and be done........it will fill up in time, and you won't really fill it up quickly, but idk hanging around here you might want to invest in to of them 
Welcome from the frozen tundra of MN! Nothing wrong with the jar to keep a few sticks handy but make sure you get some humidification in the jar. I have become a Boveda fanboy. Also, you can get a free subscription to Cigar Aficionado magazine by taking one or two surveys at this site. https://www.rewardsurvey.com/Partner/SaySoOneDollarFifty9 It is legit. Take a survey and get some points. Then you can subscribe to Cigar Aficionado using the points. There are other mags available there too so you may want to do a few surveys and get more points for more mags. A lot of cigar news is happening now and next week with the IPCPR trade show going on in next week. Make sure you look at the shops that provide discounts to BOTL members. The discounts range between 10% and 17% depending on the site. If you are going to buy, you might as well get a discount. Some restrictions apply.

The majority of my training was off campus at Ft. McClellan, but it was through JSU. That sucks the tornadoes tore the campus up though. I haven't been down that way since I graduated.
