That KC CS Rye is good. Profile is closer to a bourbon than a rye to me...A couple of Xmas gifts from the GF. Opened the Knob Creek Cask Strength for a neat Christmas Eve nightcap. Started off good, but once it opened up a bit it was excellent.

It's so good, I didn't realize until I went back and looked at Whiskey Advocate that it was 2019's #2 whiskey. Think I may grab another bottle or two to stash away.

Stopped in Sal's Beverage Mart for the first time because I had to drive out that way today. I had heard they had a decent bourbon selection. It was OK, nothing too outrageous. Looked for Bookers 2019-01 for myself and possibly @BourbonBinder, but all they had was 2019-03 and 04.
Did find this from 2018 though, and bought it based on a friend's recommendation,

Have you uncorked it yet? I was looking at that batch as well when I was deciding where to land my $85, however I was looking for the funk, which my batch (Teresa’s) has in spades...according to reviews lol.Been awhile since I grabbed a bottle of bookers.

From my county’s whiskey event yesterday. It’s gotten too crazy. No more camping out for me. Go there at 8:45 the night before and was about 115 in line. Probably just do the afternoon releases from now on.

Camped out with @marshall9779 for the local whiskey event. Missed out on adding the four roses limited but still a pretty good day - ORVW, Yellowstone Limited 2019, Makers Private Select, Makers RC-6, two Elijah Craig Private barrel picks (8 and 10 years).
My dad joined us as well and landed George T Stagg, Old Fitz BiB 15, Michters 10, Yellowstone Limited 2019, and EC Private barrel 10 year pick.

@marshall9779 and @jcolan1 , 115 people in line and you still both scored ORVW...how ,much did they have?? Congrats to you both!
They had 99 ORVW for the FCFS along with WFP, OF15, 3 PVW20, 3 PVW23 and EC18 and a couple others. They still had 23 ORVW to raffle later that evening. I think they rafflesd 70 GTS at noon.
