Been curious to try this one for a while, so I snagged a single. It is apparently "finished on aged wood from tequila barrels". I don't pick up on much of the citrus/agave/oak notes they mention. In comparison to the original, this one does have a slightly cleaner, "flatter" taste, but not necessarily in a bad way. More in a straightforward, non-fancy beach beer kinda way. In summary...not bad for a macro. Also...I forgot how damn good a frozen schooner makes a beer taste.

That brew is from my neck of the woods!Since making 5 gallons of turkey brine one friggin' gallon at a time demands that I be at home all day...may as well make the most of it.

It is so freaking good. I remember years ago on a cabin vacation, my wife getting me a sixer of it, along with a sixer of Boston Lager. Hadn't tried either of them before but was blown away by both. They both have that "hops CAN be subtle, dammit" thing going. That brew is from my neck of the woods!
A great hoppy Pilsner.
Happy Sunday to you Mr. Avocado and enjoy your chelas!
Since no one else is asking.
