They are basically like drinking a sip of seawater, in the best way possible. As far as location...I'll say the local Gulf Coast oysters tend to be large but rather mild in flavor. Damn I need to learn how to make legit tamales. I did some asian fusion tamales a couple years back that were f‘n delicious, but I’ve never made them as they should be made.Grandma's tamales. Pork, venison, and a whole lot of love (and lard).
The process is "simple" but damn labor intensive. For some reason, a couple decades ago she discovered that the secret to hers was using not just pork but deer meat. Well that looks insanely good.I made some turkey wing enchiladas verde last night. Crockpot turkey wings, jalapeños, garlic, onion, green enchilada sauce, mexican blend cheese, queso fresco, crema mexicana, lettuce, red cabbage, tomato, and avocado.
