I had a big spiel to write here but decided that this thread is just for posting recent purchases, not to complain about prices or brag about prices (if anyone is actually doing that, I doubt it).
Unfortunately I've been overseas until last week and was unable to take photos and post about recent purchases as my recently purchased cigars go to a different address than where I am/was

I've never had good luck with any Monte except the 2006 EL Monte C.
All the #2's and #4s and Especiales #2 have always been lackluster, as well as the EL 2001 Robustos which were inconsistent and not that great. I have 2 boxes of Monte EL Sublimes that I never smoked yet.

Holy crap capn Jackson! I said the same thing with this purchase. I used to like HdM, especially the Epicure line but quickly grew out of them, not sure why. The pickens were slim last month and I love 50 cabs. Boy I'm glad I did, these look and smell awesome.

This was a desperation buy and also because I saw these for almost double the price at a retailer who is only slightly gougy with his prices. It was more of a, "I'm getting a bargain!".
The reviews on these have been hit or miss, love/hate from just about everyone and they hit the market in 2017 having (supposedly)10 years of age. I am a RyJ Short Churchill smoker and that's about it from this brand( no more Exhibicion #3 and #4).
My hope is that they are one of the good boxes and if not, they will make great gifts for novice smokers at weddings as they are tubes and look nice. I don't have high expectations for these since all of the negative reviews are on boxes that already had 10 years under their belt.

Got this box last week and was totally sealed. I like that.
RA SS I only purchase in the 50 Cab. This is really my go to cigar because: they never were all that expensive (USD $8 - $10 until recently), and also because they usually smoke good early on, only after 2-4 years of box age.

This box came two days ago, sealed. My first ever purchase of a box (25 or 50) of Lusitanias. I understand the blend has changed in the past 8-10 years, anyone with knowledge of that? I probably won't touch these until they have at least 10-15 years of box age.

I feel like I have been abusing the forum with my 40th birthday presents, but I had to share with the group what I received today, from a long-time friend. A box of one of my favorite Habanos, Juan Lopez no. 1! Not only that.... the box date is 2018, which is an unpredictable and wonderful surprise. Oh, the Knob Creek was also part of my present!

Coronas Gigantes?Here it is! Possibly my last box of CC. Probably not, but will be for awhile. They look and smell amazing. It's fitting that they are one of my favorites.
