Nice! The Miami is a less in your face smoke than the blue and definitely the black. Very nice construction and an even burn. Nice light creamy flavor with that caramelly slightly sweet taste we all crave. A medium smoke that some may be disappointed if they crave the Pepin punch. More like a HdM #2 than a BBF. It would have been a bettre morning or after lunch cigar if I had not had a very light dinner. As it was it was perfect.
I also sparked up a DP Series JJ tonight and agree with your assesment.Today Rachel and I went for a drive along the Platte River.
After we ate lunch I fired up a Don Pepin Series JJ Belicoso. It was very good...almost like a more restrained version of the Blue label.
On the way back to Omaha I fired up a Partagas Spanish Rosado Robusto. It was very light compared to the Pepin but good none the less.
Yep. Ordered a box of belicosos.Nice!
I agree. Thats why I am trying to get a box of each and rest em a while. I am not as fond of the JJ. I smoked a RASS. Fantastic.I really like how these Pepins have a very nice sweet undertone along with the spice. My hope is that with time the spice will lose it's edge and the sweetness will be able to become more prominent.
Duuude.Yep. Ordered a box of belicosos.
I believe you will.:stretchgrDuuude.
Actually, I had the guys at nice ash thorw five 8&11 robustos into the box of Pepin Blue label robustos I ordered since all they had were 20 blues.
Dad and I are splitting the blues and the blacks.
I have those and a couple each of the torp and corona 8&11s to try.
Sounds like I will like them.
