Cracked the Knob 18 last night. It’s a winner in my book, also had some ECBP A123 and C923 as well but didn’t grab a pic. Solid pours all around but knob creek 18 came in first then C923 then A123. A123 was just not as smooth as C923 and a little hot.IMG_1524.jpeg

Cracked a Four Roses single barrel pick last night. Even a 115 proof, this just kind of underwhelms me. I'm going to trade or sell my others, just not my jam. Had a pour of Blanton's Straight From the Barrel to get me over my disappointment. ;)

Why open a Weller SR when you're a high proof junkie? I was smoking a gifted '98 Upmann Connie No. 1 and didn't want to overwhelm it with a high proof pour. I usually grab the SR when I see it (limit 1) at $26 for gifting or trade bait. I figure at that price can't hurt to open one.

Had to get that octane after the cigar was done though. A little Hazmat to end the night.

So I opened up the KC Bung Bangers. a single barrel store pick that is just short of 11 years. It's the oldest store pick I've seen since KC stopped the 14-15 year single barrel picks. First pour was outstanding, I'd put it up against the older picks I've had in the past.

I got a call from Binny's letting me know they were holding a bottle for me. 3rd time in a month, I finally got a guy! :D

Weller Full Proof single barrel pick. The GF and I opened it up last night and it is just outstanding. She really digs the WFP, so we'll make this one "our" bottle.

Late night after she hit the hay, I had some Barrell sib pick with a cigar.
