It was good but not amazing Tom, definitely a dark profile that’s woody and earthy. I’d like to do a side by side with my Remus repeal which I think may be better for the price.I haven't opened mine yet Chayse...what did you think?

And? Scotch ain't my thing, but curious to hear if you dig it.Tried a few different scotches at a speakeasy in Erie while up there for work this week.

Shoot, it's $29 by me, Carlos. I'm out!!Back to the comfort of a known quantity. One that should never be priced above $25.

Normally I do not like peated scotches but Lagavulin 16 has just the right amount of age to kick a lot of the smoky and let the flavors shine. in contrast the Lagavulin 12 is undrinkable as it tastes like a campfire being dosed in water.Thank you, Tom!
yes I dig it, I like it when I’m in the mood for a change of pace.
The lagavulin 16 is peated and little bit bbq, I’ve been interested in it for a while and is only the second peated scotch I’ve had next to my bottle of Ardbeg uigeadail. Certainly not as peated and smoky as the Ardbeg. I will probably pick up a bottle at some point to scratch that itch.
Aberlour 16, was very good this one is a double cask finish. It was a sweet and spicy sip. I would like to try Aberlours cask strength offering as that would probably be my pick.
I agree, the Ardbeg I have is all smoke and sherryNormally I do not like peated scotches but Lagavulin 16 has just the right amount of age to kick a lot of the smoky and let the flavors shine. in contrast the Lagavulin 12 is undrinkable as it tastes like a campfire being dosed in water.
