The last one came in wicked. White line of clouds was pushed ahead of the storm and was black as night what followed. High winds then the downpour came and went in less than a 1/2 hour. No lightning to speak of which was good.

We had rain the other day...15 minute shower followed by 6 hours of high humidity. It would really suck if I had to do anything during the day.

With nasty humidity. Stupid heat warnings are in effect which means I have to keep the kids indoors more than usual. :crosseyed This also means I haven't been able to have a cigar since we left the RTDA. I mean, I like cigars, but not enough to sit outside and and melt for 1-2 hours. I just haven't built up that dedication yet. :glassesgr

I hear ya. I like to smoke on the deck but have had to resort to the basement for the past 2 weeks.

...we don't even have a basement. :sadpace:
I'm to the point of contemplating the use of the kids inflatable pool. It's big enough to lay down in, so maybe if I fill it just enough, I could lay down, have a smoke, and get a tan all at the same time. Multi-tasking at it's best! The hard part would be keeping the kids out though. I can't imagine a wet cigar would be all that great...

I know why y'all don't have any rain; it's because we got it all!

We've gotten nearly our entire annual rainfall in just the first 6 months of the year. It's August and we still haven't hit 100 degrees yet (that's a huge shock), all the area lakes are overflowing, we're on the verge of breaking a rainfall record (highest since 1928)...and at my house we haven't watered our lush green lawn at all this year!

This summer has absolutely ROCKED here in Texas; the best one I can remember in years, even if it did feel like Seattle for a few months. LOL!
very true bro!

It's amazing. The front yard was nearly nothing but dirt just a few months ago. Most of the grass is back after a few months of nothing but rain. The back yard is thick as a jungle and takes 3 times longer to mow.
