Tom, I was 1 , 1 and 1Here's what I was able to pull out of the thread.
The fan kit is a 3 way junction, so you can run up to 3 fans. You get the electrical junction box, a strip wire and a fan. The fan, you just get the fan itself. What is the diference between a fan and a fan kit?
The Hydra does have two ports for the fans, but one is constant "on".OK. I need two Hydras and four fans. As I understand it the Hydra has two fan ports so I dont need the kits.

If you want the fans to come on when the humi comes on, you will need 2 kits and 2 fans, or 1 kit and 3 fans. Hope that makes sense.
Hydra Fan Kit
This kit increases the ability of the Hydra system even more. This fan can be attached to the Hydra via the "Fan Port" on the unit. When the fan in the Hydra unit turns on the external fan will also turn on. This will help in moving the air around your humidor and helping keep the humidor humidity level balanced throughout the box.
The Hydra unit can run up to 3 fans from the "Fan Port"
Hydra External Fan
This fan can be attached to the Hydra unit for additional air circulation.
The Hydra can operate three external fans in total. Only 2 of these fans are needed to completely fill the fan ports.
This fan requires the Hydar Fan Kit sold above.
