Motorola Q: wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole. Our company has multiple people with them and they are CONSTANTLY crapping out. Both software wise and Hardware. Piece of Junk phone, truly.
To all those who like the internet experience on a Palm type phone, gotta try the IPhone. You'll never, ever look back. My wife has a Palm 700W (I think?) and I swear I've been on the verge of throwing that thing through/out/into anything nearby time after time. It can't handle half of the stuff on the internet and trying to decipher what it actually does manage to access can be just as bad. The ONLY thing I've ever been happy with was the weather on weather.com when we've been driving and wanted to see how long it would be before we drove out of the rain.
What business functionality do they provide that an iPhone wouldn't?
As I understand it (and I really don't), the IPhone doesn't work with most work email services or some such. About the only thing keeping it back I would imagine. I've also heard issues about security? Not sure. For a personal phone, it's about the coolest, easiest to use thing I've EVER seen. I have every email account I own synced to it and it works flawlessly. I haven't bothered to see if our IT guy could get me set up with my work email...maybe I'll let him play with it to see.
So basically, as I understand it, if Apple could get the Iphone to work with most Work Email servers, it would have all the functionality of a BlackBerry. But I could be wrong. Some of the BB gurus might be able to answer better. The only other thing I've heard against them is that some have trouble with the touchscreen keypad. I managed to catch on pretty quick, and actually like it better than the wife's keypad on her Treo.
