I use them and love them. I travel a lot and put my cigars in ziplock bags with a water pillow in the ziplock. I store the ziplocks in a round tupperware. The tupperware container is stored in a closet and I have not had any issues with my storage. Temp is 65 degrees with an RH of 65-68. Went to buy more today as I just purchased more Opus X and Sharks yesterday. The main problem was the tax in California. 46%. OUCH.

did you use them for long term storage? how long did it take to get moldy?
I was using them in a 75ct. humidor with a small credo...if I remember correctly it took about 2-3 weeks for it to turn south.

I was trying to get a little extra humidity during the summer before I got a cooler and beads.

I have one in a 100 count humi. I picked it up in a trade and put it in the bottom of the humi by chance. Seems to work pretty good as that was Nov 07.

Like them Ron. Long distance bombs or just traveling, they give me some good peace of mind. Use them occasionally to bump up the Rh in the desktops in the dang cold dry-air winters out here.

Ron, I picked some up at Cbid a few years back. I used them for a travel humi. As long as you use the plastic sleeve that came with them, no problems, otherwise once I got some of the cigars wet and they got screwed up. My fault though, I didn't use the sleeve that time. For what they are, to me a short term, inexpensive humidification solution, they're fine.

I have used them for both shipping and traveldor they work ok. As Kevin stated they can be a little messy if they get out of the plastic case. I prefer the old flat distilled water cards that were reusabe. I haven't seen those in several years.

so far, results are not too bad. They dont have the accuracy of a Boveda or beads. I have the Pillows in 3 different size containers. Humidity readings of 64,67, and 68. ziplock bag is at 68. 5 cigar size otterbox at 67. 1/2 gallon clear jar is at 64%. I didnt fill these to capacity. i just dipped them halfway into water for about 15 seconds, instead of soaking the whole pillow. if they were fully loaded with water, i think they would easily hit the 70% mark, probably more in an airtight container. Not bad for a 50 cent item. might not be perfect, but it has its place.

few hours later and humidity holding pretty steady. Boveda/Humidipaks are still my #1 choice. but under the right circumstance, these dont seem to be too bad.

well, after about a 40 hours, i am impressed with the pillows. at 50 cents retail, they serve their purpose.
the 5 cigar baggies is at 68%, the 5 cigar otterbox is at 68%, and the half gallon jar is at 67%.
