I got engaged with just over a month left 'til graduation. I moved from Indiana (school) to Ohio for a job while she stayed in Kansas and planned the whole wedding. We got married a year after I graduated.

I did eventually (several years later) marry the girl I dated in my last semester of college...but the majority of my 6+ years of college was all about getting into the pants of as many girls as possible.

Personally, I wouldn't have even dreamed of getting engaged while in school, but that's just my viewpoint. Yours may be completely different.

Brother,

You will get engaged when your heart and mind tel you it is the right time. Do not do things cause someone else expects you to do it. If it is true love, you will know the right time, place to do it.

Just my two cents worth.

I'm almost done with about 12 years of higher ed. Not engaged yet. For me, I always thought that money and sex are the 2 biggest things that can tear apart a couple. I can only guarantee alot of one of those before I have a full-time job.

But, follow your feelings.

Got engaged after my during the fall semester of my sophmore year and got married that summer. But I had dated my wife since I was a freshman in high school. I can't complain because that was 5 years ago and we are doing great, but most people have a lot of problems b/c they rush into it before they get to know each other.

Bad, bad idea. What's the rush? Graduate, get a job, get some stability, enjoy life experiences together, and THEN when you're ready for all the fun to end.... go ahead and get married. ;)
