Not true. "Computers" have been around since WW2. In the 60's, most were huge ... larger than trucks in most cases. I remember going to work with my dad on the weekends and helping him feed in punch cards on their IBM system so they could run inventory, sales and production programs. Their system was in a 30 x 30 foot cooled office room.No computers.
