Hey guys, I just need to vent a bit.
As maybe some of you have read, my fiancee Jill is very sick and has been suffering from stomach pain for a long time.
january 1. she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and since it is chronic would have to be on pills for pretty much all her life.
Well, yesterday morning at 3.30 am, she was in so much pain that I had to bring her to UCLA and they found free air in her body, the colon ruptured and the large colon had to be completly removed.
this sucks, i know she will be better now but it's so hard and it will change our life together a lot, I feel so bad for her. she will have another surgery to get the j-pouch connected so she doesn't have to wear a bag anymore, but that's 3 months away.
please send a prayer to her, she needs it.

Sasha, at our home we have a "prayer pot" it's a ceramic pot that one of our kids made. What we do is anytime anyone wants to have prayers said for something special, we write it down and put it in the prayer pot. Then, during our before meal prayer and when we say our nightly prayers, we also pray for everything in the prayer pot, some are private, some are public to everyone at home. My friend, you and Jill will be in our prayer pot when I get home tonight.

My best of luck to the both of you and always remember, God will never give you more than you can handle.

Sascha, I'm sorry this happened to your fiancee. I know with your help she will get through this difficult time.

In addition, when the prayer pot is full, we have a fire out in the backyard and then burn all the prayers so the smoke and ash will drift up to the Heavens, one last ditch effort to have them answered! Plus then we can make smores! :wink:

My prayers and sympathy are definitely with you man. I couldn't even imagine what I would do in your situation. Just hang in there any everything will be alright you're obviously good people, you're on this board and it doesn't seem to have a bad apple that doesn't get booted. Granted I'm far away but if there's something I could do even if it's just lending an ear PM me.
