As others have said...no gloves, no apron, and certainly no talking to the plants. But again, as others have said, you can't beat fresh herbs.

As for the man card, i'd say it just went platinum. In this day and age, women totally cream over a guy who can cook. A man in the kitchen is virtual panty remover.

I have mint and Garlic in my back planters. The garlic is amazing, you can use the greens, like chives. All the normal herbs are available for cheap at the local farmers markets.

Cool! I figured a lot of other guys are growing their own herbs and what not. I'll stay away from the roses and pansies :rolling:

Dude, your cool in my book. I plant herbs and use them for cooking to.

I also have kicks, one of the recent ones is audio/video equipment. Now I have an enormous home theatre set up I never use.

I agree, your man card should still be safe, just do yourself a favor...don't refer to it as "gardening"...that can tend to sound a little gay. Just say I planted some stuff in the backyard and let it go at that...if anything flowers, you gotta shoot some Roundup on it quick!
