Welcome to BOTL bro. If you just purchased that Colibri, I don't mean to sound snobbish but i would return it for something else. They are notorious for breaking. There are numerous other lighters out there that are much higher quality and will last much longer. Just my opinion, trying to look out for a new brother.
Welcome to the board!

And yeah, my $40 colibri just broke on me last night...waste of money. Lasted about 6 months and now it's done!

Hey Josh, Welcome. I work in a cigar shop and i should let you know. Colibri has definitaley gone to a life time guarentee. I have had better luck with the Lotus lighters. I dont have to return them as often barely never. If you have any questions just ask

I've never been found of soft flames because its always harder for me to light. I do like Dupont lighters and I belive it was Monte Cristo which replicated a lighter they make to the T which is a soft flame that I did fall in love with.

I'll have to give the Zippo another look then, can you suggest one.

Actually I use a Colibri as well. But there is just something about flicking open the top of a Zippo and sparking it to life. I even like the smell of the Ronson fuel as it burns.

Does the Ronson smell get into the cigar? I still enjoy lighting a piece of cedar and then lighting the cigar. Ideally I would like to get two more lighters.
