Originally told to me by Hendy.

They just broke into a show reporting a commercial airliner had to crash land in the Hudson. Pretty crazy seeing it just kind of floating there in the water. Initial reports is that both engines went out after hitting a flock of geese. The pilots did a great job in bringing the plane down intact. Apparently their reporting that all 150 passengers and 5 crew members made it out safe. Minor injuries of course but no deaths.

WOW, amazing and scary!

yes, I saw that on MSNBC earlier. They were out there with ferry bosats trying to get all the passengers to safety before the fusellodge went under water. Amazing everyonde made it out alive. That could have been a lot worse.

I'm amazed that the pilot managed a (relatively) safe water landing. I've always been under the impression that the rafts, floating seat cushions, etc. were mostly wishful thinking, since the odds of surviving a water landing were so slim. I'm glad to see that I was wrong!

It had a full belly of fuel in it also. I did not see any slick around the plane. He must have done a 1/1000000000000000000 landing.

I just read that the mayor of NYC said the pilot was the last one off the plane, and walked the full length of the plane twice prior to getting off to assure nobody remained.

I want him piloting on my next trip.

Saw that after i checked my mails in "News". My dad says that it happens often. He brings pics and those f****ers are strong, the can leave a very firm dent with a lot of dry blood.

I suppose you really may need to use that seat bottom as a flotation device.

I alwasy thought that was the worst a plane could go through.
Not only are we:
1...crashing.
but,
2...we are crashing in water.

It just seems llike the odds are so against you. The classic "Out of the frying pan and into the fire." LOL
